Working across musical theatre and classical acting, you'll explore the skills needed to make strong choices, connect with text and song, respond to direction and bring your individual qualities into the room.

Across the three days, you'll work on:

  • Musical theatre audition technique

  • Acting through song

  • Monologues and classical text

  • Character development

  • Voice and physicality

  • Cold reading

  • Making bold and specific choices

  • Working with direction and re-direction

  • Audition cuts and preparation

  • Mock audition situations

  • Individual feedback

The final day will bring the work together in a professional-style audition environment, giving you the opportunity to put your skills into practice and receive individual feedback. There will be an opportunity to record your work self tape style to take away with you for your personal and professional use.
